New Year Celebration at Cherating

New Year celebration tis year was diff.My bf(Ramesh),sis(Nalini),bro(Sashi) and 3 cousins,Alvin,Gayathri n Geetha went on a 3 days 2 nites vacation to Cherating,Pahang.
My bf fetched Guy3 n Geetha from their home in Kjg n came 2 fetch me from my apartment at about 11.30am.He came late as he was tired from work the day before.Sis came bck from her night shift and had a short nap while waitin fer Ramesh.
I was starvin by then as i didnt take my dinner the nite before.We stopped by at McDonalds on da highway to have lunch.Bought sum tidbits to munch on the way.
We stopped by alot along the way.To go to the bathroom it is.
Reached Cherating Cottage by 4pm plus.It's not a very great place to stay.We took it as it was cheap,RM90 per night.Its had 1 a Queen size bed and a queen size double decker,the top part being single.
After checkin out the chalet,we changed into our shorts n shirts n walked to the neach wic was merely 5min away from our chalet.
The beach was not that crowded.But the waves were simply beautiful.They were so strong and kept pushing us sideways.We jes sat in the water and let the waves to push us around.
We played in the water(didn't do any swimming as we didn't know hw 2 swim)for bout 2 hours and then got back to the chalet.It was almost dark by then.
As there was only 1 bathrum n 1 toilet,we had take turns bathing.There was no rags on the floor to seep the water as we were dripping from the sea,so we took one blanket(very thin) and used it as a rag.
There was a heater but it wasn't working.The water pressure was bad at that time.
After bathing,we went for dinner.All the playing in the water had made us al very hungry and sleepy.
We ate at a chinese seafood shop nearby.Took dishes.The food was simply delicious. There was sum event goin on in the restaurant.It was packed.Looked like sum family day organised by a small company.They were havin buffet and a karoeke session.
It was rather entertaining 2 watch a "Live Performance" while havin our dinner.
After filling up our tummies,we looked around for a place where we can have our BBQ the next day.The shop that we had in mind,as my bf had done bbq wit his frens ther,didnt host any bbq as it was the raining season n the seafud was hard to get.
Finally we booked the bbq session at the very same restaurant we had our dinner.RM28 per person.Deposit RM100.
We then went to a pub wic looked so packed n happening.There was a "RM10 and a free drink" cover charge sign at the entrance,but we got in free coz ther was no one guardin the entrance the time we got in.hehehehe...:P
The pub was becomin more n more packed.
When everyone started counting the seconds to 12am,i looked at my watch and it was 5 min away from 12am!These people here were FAST!Neways,we eventually got in togeder and wen the counting came to 1,ballons were burst n everyone cheered,hugged n shook hands wishing new year.
After the countdown,we left the pub as it was becoming like a sardine can.We then bought bck ice cubes to drink with the Vodka my bf had brought.
I onli drank like a cup.Was tired and sleepy btw.The rest were playing poker cards.
We slept by 4am.
The next day,we woke up by 11am,brushed our teeth,ate sum not so nice buns n ran to the beach to play in the water.
And we all got sunburnt!Gosh!I look so dark rite now!!!!...:(..I had brought my sunblock but forgot to use it.Doink man!
We left the beach nearly 2pm as our tummies were growling.Hungry.Took turns to bathe again,but the water pressure was alrite tis time.
Cousin Alvin n my bro sashi reached Cherating at bout 3pm plus,so we went for lunch togeder.We ate in a chinese restaurant by the beach.The view was nice.The food was good to.
After lunch,we went bck to the chalet and the rest changed to go to the beach again.I wanted to snap some photos,so didn't wan to go into the water.
I was left to take pictures at the beach.I did get wet however as i waded the beach,not knowing the water was high up to my thighs.Damn!N my cousin Alvin splashed water on me,wetting my hair!Now i have to wash my hair again!Grrrrr.....
When it was 6.40pm,everyone rushed bck to the chalet as we had planned to go Fire Flies Watching if it didn't rain.
It was drizzling however,and the guy who was supposed to bring us go watch the fireflies was not around.
So,we jes rested after our baths,waiting for the time to go for our bbq.
We left the chalet nearly 9pm.
When we came to the restaurant,we were astounded wit the amount of fud prepared for us.it was ALOT!Seriously!There were lamb chops,fish,squids,chiken wings,sausages,all to b grilled.Besided the food to be grilled,we also had fried rice and fried mee hoon,fruits and orange squash.
We all tried our hand at grilling for fun and sat to eat.The food was delicious!yum yum yum!However,we were all stuffed and there were sum fud left.
After eating,we left the restaurant close to 11pm.We then decided to visit the Petroleum Factory(wil put up the correct name later) at Kerteh,Terengganu.It was about 30-40 min away from Cherating.(Terengganu is another state)
The view was simply beautiful!The place was brightly lit up.We parked our carsd by the side of the road and stood there gazing around us.
There were fires shooting out from the many mnay towers there,making it look like a scene from Lord of The Rings.hehehehe...And there were 3 huge fire pits wic looke like the Olympics fire thingy(opss,forgot wat its called)
We spent bout an hour by the side of the road,enjoying the magnificent view.Breath takingly beautiful!It was drizzling a lil.
After gettin a bit wet in the rain,we drove back to Cherating.
We spent the time in our chalet talking,and drinking vodka.Slept nearly 5am.
GI got up by 9am,the others by 10am.Had to get redy and pack out stuffs as we have to check out at 12pm.
We dropped by at Teluk Chempedak to have our lunch.The beach there was beautiful but we couldnt wander much as it was raining.
We ate a restaurant called Restaurant Pattaya wic has its own website:www.rpattaya.com.
We took dishes,while Alvin n sashi each took chic chop n fish n chips.
The food was ok onli,not as good as the Chinese restaurant in Cherating.
We dropped by at a souvenir shop,and i bought a few "keropok ikan"(fish chips wic u can fry) for my mom.
We drove all the way to Genting Sempah,and exchanged cars there.I got into Alvin's car as he wil b sendin my bro to Pudu bus station and me n ma sis back to our apartment.
Guys n Geetha got into Ramesh car and we parted ways.He sent them back to Kajang.
I reached my apmt close to 8pm as it was jammed up.
Unpacked our bags,bathed and slept like a baby.We were tired and it's a working day the next day.
i have to be at Cyberjaya wic means i hav 2 get up ealier.
We had lotsa fun in Cherating.Can't wait for our next outing again.And tis time we wil hav our parents to join in the fun.
